About the Project
Hello my name’s Steven Wynne and I’m the project officer for the Signed Voices project, I’ll be here throughout the duration of the one year project. If anyone’s interested in participating please do contact me at Steven.firstname.lastname@example.org
Summary of Signed Voices Project
The project is aimed at people who live in the North West – Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria.
There are no age restrictions, anyone can be involved in the filming where one person interviews another – this could be a friend, family member or any Deaf person.
The interview is expected to last approximately 15 minutes and can cover any topic although it has to be interesting! It could relate to history, culture or could be an exciting experience you would like to share. The interview will last 15 minutes and after it has been filmed, it will be uploaded onto a website and YouTube. It will also be archived for posterity.
At the end of the project there will be a live celebratory event and exhibition where people can see what we have done over the previous year. If you would like any more information or are interested in getting involved please contact me.
Logo & Sign Name
Signed Voices Project are pleased to announce the new Signed Voices logo and the official sign name we will use for the project.
The logo colours have been created to represent our Deaf community and communication. The blue symbolises communication and turquoise is a Deaf colour.
The visual aspect of the logo represents the movement used when signing the official sign name of Signed Voices.
We hope you like the logo and will share this out on various social media.
