Our Community Initiatives

The Community Garden

Our Community Garden is a peaceful, accessible outdoor space for Deafway residents, volunteers, schools, the Deaf community and local people in Preston. It is a place to enjoy nature, take part in gardening, support wellbeing and bring people together.

The garden can also be used for events and activities, including outdoor sessions, games, BBQs and creative nature-based projects.

Our Deaf Clubs

Deafway supports Deaf community spaces in Preston and Lancaster. These clubs give Deaf people a place to meet, socialise, take part in activities and enjoy regular community events.

Our Deaf Clubs are shaped by the people who use them, creating welcoming spaces for friendship, conversation and connection.

Sessions are provided remotely using platforms such as FaceTime, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
