Donate to Deafway

If you too recognise that deaf people in the UK and beyond do not get an equal deal in life – if you share our passion for changing this situation for the better – then please give us your support by making a donation today.

You can choose to donate towards a specific project, to make a one-off donation, to donate monthly or even to leave us a gift in your will… there are lots of possibilities.

Thank you for considering making a donation to Deafway. You can make a donation online through our JustGiving page – https://www.justgiving.com/deafway. Under the Government’s Gift Aid scheme, Deafway, as a charity can claim back tax on all donations you make to us, providing you are a UK tax payer. JustGiving will guide you through this simply. Gift Aid is a valuable way to increase the value of your donation to us – that makes a considerable difference without it costing you a penny!

If you would prefer to write us a cheque, please address it to ‘Deafway’ and post it to Appeals, Deafway, Brockholes Brow, Preston, PR1 5BB. To enable us to claim Gift Aid on your donation, please download and complete our Gift Aid Form and send us the original with your donation.

You can donate to Deafway on a monthly basis by setting up a Direct Debit through JustGiving. Just click on the link above to sign up. Alternatively, you might consider payroll giving sometimes known as Give As you Earn -a very easy way for your company to let you give a regular amount (as small or large as you like) through your wages. Ask your company whether they have this set up already, if not, contact us and we’ll send them the details.

Raising money in someone’s memory is a special way to celebrate their life. If you wish to make such a donation then please contact info@deafway.org.uk or you can call 01772 796461.

Alternatively, you might like to create a sensitive in memory page on JustGiving, where you can tell the story of the person you’re remembering (using words, photos and video) and explain why you’re raising money in their memory.

Your friends and family can give to your page easily, safely and securely, wherever they, whenever they want to. Together you can create a lasting tribute in memory of your loved one. The link below will take you to Just Giving’s website where you can begin to set up an in memory page. If you need help setting up your in memory page, please contact the JustGiving support team on 0345 078 2063.

If the time is ever right for you to remember Deafway in your will then please do. It can be a very simple conversation with your solicitor. When you’ve looked after your loved ones, did you know you could give as little as 1% to the cause you believe in and make a big difference to a D/deaf person’s future?

We will always respect that it is your decision and that you may want to change your mind, and we will never ask you to disclose how much you intend to give. If you’d like to talk this through with us please contact us, we’d love to help.

Making a will is usually straightforward, but we do urge you to seek professional legal advice. This will give you the peace of mind that your Will is a legally binding document. The cost of legal advice for making a simple Will is less than you think—usually around £150. If you don’t already have a solicitor you could ask a friend or relative to recommend one.

If you have already made a will then it is very simple to leave a gift to Deafway.  You simply have to speak to your solicitor about making a codicil (amendment) to your existing will.

You might like to download and read our simple Guide to Leaving a Gift in Your Will which contains a codicil form. You can also contact us to request to receive a copy by post.

Deafway has gratefully received support from a range of Charitable Trusts for many years. While a single donation can make a huge difference, where possible we aim to work closely with organisations over several years. By working in close partnership with us, you can see the real difference your support makes.

By working together, we can consider the needs of D/deaf children and adults as a whole and how we can support them reliably and consistently so that they may have the future they deserve. To find out more or to donate through a charitable trust, please contact us:
